    Vinyasa Yoga is an energetic form of yoga where students fluidly move from one pose to the next while synchronizing their breath to their movements. Shayne’s classes integrate a dynamic flow with the application of precise alignment, meditation, visualization, intention and chanting to create an inner journey towards healing and empowerment.

MEET THE TEAM


  • CO-FOUNDER / YOGA INSTRUCTOR

    After a long and successful career owning and managing international luxury fashion boutiques Oxygene, in Bal Harbour, Shayne took her experience in the luxury market and partnered it with her other passion – yoga and wellness.

    Born in Bogota, Colombia, Shayne Cohen grew up as a competitive gymnast, developing strength and flexibility at a very young age. She was initiated into yoga by Sri Dharma Mitra in New York City. For nearly 30 years she has remained fully committed to her yoga path.

    Shayne focuses on asana practice, meditation, chanting and acutonics sound vibration healing. She is a group and private wellness coach and is fully dedicated to inspiring others to follow the path of wholesomeness.

    Born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, Adriana is a celebrated contemporary art consultant based in Miami, Florida. She spent the past twenty years immersed in the world of arts and culture working with many local and national art institutions including the Bass Museum, Rubell Museum, CodeArt, Miami City Ballet among others.

    Her dedication to a yoga practice for over 15 years led her to co-found Anahata Eco Yoga Retreats to serve those who have the same passion for yoga, travel, nature and wellness. Adriana completed The Apprenticeship to the Sacred Wild, folk herbalism and spiritual ecology; and RYT 200 Sadhana Power Vinyasa.

5 days / 4 night accommodation at Playa Viva.

  • Daily yoga, meditation, sound healing, & spiritual ceremonies.

  • 3 daily farm-to-table organic plant-based meals inspired by local cuisine. (Fish and eggs will be offered.)

  • Snacks and refreshments will be offered throught the day.

  • Daily excursions to nature and local communities.

  • Reservation must be made with a non-refundable 50% deposit.

  • Balance is due before April 1st, 2024.

  • Payments are non-refundable nor can they be credited towards a different retreat.

  • Credit card payments will incur in a 3% additional fee.

SPA SERVICES BY PLAYA VIVA

Settle into one of our beachside palapas and relax to the sound of the ocean as the scent of coconut oil permeates the air and you achieve nirvana. Once you register to our retreat, you will receive a form with all available treatment description and rate. We recommend you schedule with us before we travel. Limited slots will be available so that treatments do not interfere with our daily schedule.

RELEASE FORM

I hereby release and hold harmless Anahata Eco Yoga Retreats, LLC. Shayne Cohen, Adriana Vergara and all Co facilitators from all liability for personal injury, including death, as well as all property damage arising out of my participation on the “Five Elements” Yoga retreat May, 19-23, 2024

I am aware that illness, injury or accidents are a possibility which may result in incurring costs, expenses, and damages for which I am solely responsible for including, but not limited to, return by air ambulance or other extraordinary means. I give my consent for immediate care and treatment. I hereby release and agree to indemnity Anahata Eo Yoga Retreats, LLC and Shayne Cohen, Adriana Vergara for any and all damages, liability or costs resulting from the authorizing of medical treatment.

I personally assume all risks, whether foreseen or unforeseen.

I am aware that Anahata Eco Yoga Retreats, will occasionally employ the services of outside personnel, equipment or tour operators over which they have no affiliation or control. I, therefore, release them for any liability of personal injury, death, property damage, or other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity which may be occasioned by reason of (1) any wrongful, negligent, willful, or unauthorized acts or omissions on the part of any suppliers, or other employees or agents, (2) any defect in or failure of any vehicle, equipment, instrument owned, operated or otherwise by any of these suppliers, or (3) any wrongful, willful, or negligent act or omissions on any part of any other party not under the supervision or control of Anahata Eco Yoga Retreats, LLC.

I guarantee that I am of healthy body and mind, and if required, have obtained a medical release from my physician and/or therapist. I also agree to respectfully treat the other members of our group.

  • American citizens do not need visa to travel to Mexico.

  • Not as of today. Anahata does request a negative PCR 48hr prior to our departure.

  • If you are flying from Miami we recommend flying with us as a group. Once you book your spot we will send you flight details for booking.

    Playa Viva is located near the small village of Juluchuca on the Pacific Coast of Mexico in the State of Guerrero. A 35 minute ride from Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa International Airport (ZIH).

    Direct flights include Mexico City, Dallas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Houston.

  • Hotel transportation will be at the airport to receive every guest.

    Transportation to and from hotel is included in retreat package.

  • All prices listed are per person.

  • Playa Viva will be serving a traditional Mexican cuisine, curated to be gluten-free, dairy-free, refined-sugar free and sourced from local farms. Plenty of options will be available for vegetarians.

  • You can reserve your spot directly on our website or by emaling us. A reservation requires a 50% none-refundable deposit. Cancellations are non-refundable.

    The remaining balance is due prior to April 1st, 2024.
